Accessory Tips for Working Women

There are just some things a girl can't do without, but when you are accessorizing in the corporate world, what you choose can project the perfect image or the wrong one. The good news is what's acceptable has become more flexible and a lot more colorful.

The biggest change we have seen with corporate women's accessories is variety and accessibility. Women are not just wearing classic black pumps with a black leather handbag, but they are branching out by adding color.

Corporate style advisors warn that, if used properly accessories can add to your personality or make you stand out for the wrong reasons. That's why it is important to choose carefully and consider what message you are sending.

The six rules of accessorizing
  1. Accessories are a great way to show others that you have a polished complete look. If used correctly they allow one to show individuality while still looking appropriately dressed for the job.
  2. Remember you need to be seen and remembered for your expertise not what you are wearing.
  3. Get the best quality you can buy.
  4. Accessories should be timeless and should not reflect fashion trends – unless you are in the fashion or creative industry.
  5. Accessories should not overpower you but instead add to your professional image.
  6. The accessories you wear to work are not the same ones you wear on a Saturday night.

Tips on choosing the best handbags

Handbag is one of most favourite accessories among women. It defines about woman’s personality. It characterizes the class and mood of a woman. Handbags are part of a woman style and a fashion statement that is considered as woman’s necessity. Two of the best benefits we get from using a fashion handbag are; it helps in highlighting our attire and at the same time, holds the important things that a woman used in her everyday life. The more luxurious or popular the handbag we have, the better we feel about our self when we walk down the street, knowing that every single person may be looking at us.
Having the perfect designer handbag is very important to a woman and choosing the best handbag depends, of course, on her own choice. Fashion handbags come in different styles and most of them can easily be found at many stores.
Most women are very fond of purses and handbags. In fact, they often spent lots of money to purses and handbags. Here are some of tips that you have to consider when looking for best handbags.

What handbag styles?
Before choosing the best handbags, the most important thing you have to consider is the style that would best suit your shape and figure. For a largish woman, avoid buying tiny bag as this will not look good for you. For slim and tall women, round and square shaped handbags will look great for your body type. While for average tall women, you can go buying handbags that are bottle – shaped. But if you would like to keep safe, you can purchase medium sized fashion handbags as they perfectly works with any figure.
Another handbag style that is very convenient is those over sized handbags. It would not look good if you stretch your small tote by squeezing all items into it, so you’d better carry with an over – sized handbag when you have to bring lot of items.

What handbag colour?
Choosing the right colour is very important when looking for the best handbags. There are many available colours that can fit your mood and at the same time your fashion sense. Consider buying printed bags as they are always in fashion. In terms of practicality, a plain one- coloured handbag is easier to match with any dress code. If you are wearing a single coloured dress, go for a bright and multi coloured handbag as this will add life to your appearance.

What handbag materials?
Leather handbags are the all-time favourite best handbags to choose. They are sassy and classic. They work out with any outfit at all occasions. However there are several handbags materials in the market that open the doors of options for women. You may try exploring other handbag materials as well.

Finding the best handbag is easy and fun, as long you know the proper way of doing it. Your bag should be stylish and must fit your personality.

Tips for Organizing your Wardrobe

Ten Tips for Cleaning Out and Organising your Wardrobe and Keeping it Clutter Free

1.    Start at the Bottom - Dig out everything from the floor and find temporary storage for your shoes until you can buy a shoe organizer  which will keep them all in one place. If you don't have floor space, get a hanging shoe organizer instead of a box system.

2.   Spend 30 minutes a week going through your Wardrobe - Pitch everything you aren't wearing into one of two boxes: one box goes to lifeline and the other into a separate storage space. The goal is that the clothes you wear often should be in the wardrobe and the rest either in storage or to someone who will wear them - Don't worry you won't have to do it forever. Once it's tiny, go to once a month organizing.

3.   Put your "Fat clothes" or "Thin clothes" into separate wardrobes - Admit it, we all have fat and thin clothes - separate them. This is also good for morale. If you must have your fat clothes in sight to stay on track with a diet, pick out the best item and keep it around.

4.    When you buy something new, throw out something old - Now that you've bought those new suede slippers, so you really need those funky ratty old cloth ones that belonged to your boyfriend before they came to live at your house?

5.    Put the light on -  One reason people avoid dealing with their wardrobes is that they can't see inside them. Hang up a clip light or a battery operated stick light from the hardware store. When you can see what;s going on in there you'll be more likely to deal with it.

6.    Where to hang what - Hang the thing you rarely wear towards the back and the ones you wear often near the front.

7.   Hang all your pants together - All your blouses, jumpers etc to make it easy to find the pieces when you get dressed.

8.   I think I'll wear that tomorrow -  Are those jeans not really dirty but not totally clean ? We all do it. An item that was worn for only a short time and could worn again tomorrow ( Jeans are a classic example) Why do more laundry than we need to. Use a rack or chair to to keep your in between clothes off the floor.

9.     Match your hangers to your clothes - Pants should have pant hangers, skirts must have skirt hangers and if you're the kind who hangs lingerie get hangers that can hold skinny little straps. The right hangers will keep your clothes from slipping off and winding up on the floor. Any op shop is a great place to pick up hangers at bargain prices.

10.   When you're shopping for clothes, try to buy things that will co ordinate - Try to match up as many of your current clothes as possible. This way you won't find yourself standing in front of your wardrobe with half an outfit on and nothing to match it.

ECO Friendly Washing and Drying Tips

  • When you have several loads to wash, do them back-to-back so you can use the residual heat in the dryer.
  • Run the washing machine only when you have a full load.
  • Wash with cold water to save 80 to 90 percent of the energy costs of washing.
  • To prevent static cling, add one cup white vinegar to the rinse cycle, using your washing machine’s dispenser. Static cling, by the way, is caused by using synthetic fabrics, so you could also switch to cotton. The vinegar also kills bacteria and prevents the buildup of detergent residue. Remove the laundry before it’s overdried.
  • Clean out the dryer’s lint trap after every load to improve circulation and reduce energy use.
  • Air dry whenever possible using indoor racks or an outdoor line. This conserves energy - and your clothes. They will not wear out or fade as quickly. (You’ll also save about seven hundred pounds of carbon dioxide over six months of warm weather.)
  • Remove clothing from the dryer before the cycle ends and line dry to finish. This conserves energy and increases the life span of the clothing.
  • Avoid using dryer sheets to soften fabrics. They often contain harsh chemicals that can irritate sensitive skin. Soften fabric with baking soda in the wash cycle. Try a commercial green fabric softener like Natural Choices Home Safe Products’ Safe ’n Soft, Ecover’s Natural Fabric Softener, or Sun & Earth’s Ultra Fabric Softener.
The Earth's Resources are scarce.
So its time we open our eyes and utilize what we have with care.

10 Beauty Tips

We’re always hearing of ridiculous beauty tricks that sound too good (or crazy) to be true, but there’s no better feeling than making a weird beauty discovery that really works. After spending some time with the most common beauty problems everyone encounters, we've put together all of our favorite weird beauty tricks. Our hope is that some of your most frustrating beauty problems will be solved with these tricks!
1. To avoid stray mascara marks, hold a plastic spoon (curve out) over your eyelid when applying your mascara so the excess can go on the spoon, not your lids.
2. To reduce puffy eyes, cut raw, peeled potatoes in half and place over your eyes for 10 minutes. The potato will cool your eyes and any swelling will decrease.
3. Next time you need a face mask but don’t have time to run to the store, use Pepto Bismol. In the same way it breaks down oil and acids in your digestive system, it breaks down any on your face. Use two tablespoons and leave on for 15-20 minutes.
4. If you’re starting to notice cellulite creeping up anywhere, use coffee grounds as a body scrub. The caffeine will stimulate skin cells and using it as a scrub will get rid of any dead skin trying to cling to life.
5. In need of a deep conditioning treatment? Get the mayonnaise out of your fridge and into your hair for about 20 minutes. For added benefits, use your blow dryer so the heat will activate the mayonnaise even more.
6. If your nail polish seems to dry with bubbles in it, it may be because the polish is being stored at too warm of a temperature. Keep your polish in the fridge and the cool temperature will make sure that it always dries smoothly.
7. After a workout, some people have the issue of a red face long after the last exercise. To combat this, take an antihistamine  so the redness will be majorly reduced.
8. Whether you’re always getting blisters or you’ve got a new pair of shoes to break in, rubbing a little bit of Vaseline on areas that tend to get blisters will reduce any friction so your feet won’t be cut up by the end of the night.
9. Glitter nail polish is a nightmare to remove, but if you soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover, place on your nail, wrap your finger tip in tin foil and let it sit for five minutes, the glitter will slide right off.
10. In a rush after an at-home manicure? Submerge your fingers in cold water for three minutes and your nails will come out dry.
